Cafe POS ("we", "our", "the app") is a point-of-sale application for small cafes and food stalls. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name
• Your mobile number
• Your password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing — we never store or view your plain-text password)

When you use the app, we also store business data you enter, including:

• Menu items and prices
• Daily sales sessions (opening balance, bills, payment mode)
• Bill records (items sold, quantities, totals)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information solely to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide core app functionality (billing, item management, sales tracking)
• Manage your subscription/trial status

3. Payment Information

Cafe POS does not process, store, or transmit any payment or banking information. UPI QR codes shown during billing are generated using a UPI ID you provide, and payments happen directly between your customer and your bank via their own UPI app. We do not collect or have visibility into these transactions.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is stored securely on our servers and is not shared for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and business data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted and permanently removed within 15 days.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including password hashing and secured server access. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
